Calgary Alberta, May 9, 2016:  A group of Calgary performing artists have come together to provide a concert to benefit the evacuees from the tragedy still unfolding in Fort McMurray and surrounding areas due to the devastating fire.  The community of St. Peter’s has always made efforts in time of need both locally and abroad.  With “A Song for Haiti” back in 2010 in support of the devastating earthquakes and with “Bridge over Troubled Waters” in 2013 in relief to those in need from the Calgary 2013 flood. 

With the images and video coming out of Fort McMurray and the response from Albertans we felt compelled to continue our tradition of reaching out to support those in need.  Rising from the Ashes I is a benefit concert that will be held:

Date:  May 27, 2016

      Time:  Doors open at 6:30PM with the concert starting at 7 PM

      Admission:  There is no cost of admission.  We are accepting free will offerings to be handled by The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (https://pwrdf.org/gives/canadahelps).  The PWRDF is a member of the actalliance (http://actalliance.org/).  Donations can be made before or after the concert at the door.  Volunteers will be on hand to take your donation and information for tax receipts.
