Don’t mess with peoples’ cartoons. That’s the message that streaming platform Max seems to have gotten after an announcement on Monday suggested classic show “Looney Tunes” was leaving the service next month.

Social media ignited, with much of the anger directed at Warner Bros. Discovery box David Zaslav… especially given the recent news that the “Looney Tunes”-movie “Coyote Vs. Acme” was being shelved for good. But Max raced in to clear up the concern, sharing a message to its fan base: “’Looney Tunes’ was included in error as a title leaving the platform. This is not the case and the show will continue streaming on Max.”

2003 movie “Looney Tunes: Back In Action,” starring Jenna Elfman and reigning Oscar-winner Brendan Fraser is, however, still set to be taken down from the platform next month. This is the latest in a relatively new trend of streaming platforms pulling content in an effort to cut costs.
