The Hollywood writers’ strike has finally concluded, and late-night television hosts including Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and Seth Meyers plan to return to their respective shows early next week.

This joint announcement was delivered in a comic book superhero-themed bulletin, showcasing the logo of Strike Force Five, their recent podcast that had been launched while their shows—namely, “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” and “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver”—were on hiatus due to the writers’ strike.

The message stated that “the founding members of Strike Force 5 will resume their network television shows this Monday 10/2, and one of them (Oliver) will return to premium cable on 10/1.”

Adding a touch of humour, the message continued, “This marks the departure of Strike Force 5 and the return of the Late Night 5…Now, what was the password to my work computer again?”

In a separate announcement, Bill Maher declared that his show, “Real Time with Bill Maher,” will make its comeback this Friday. Maher had previously attempted to restart production during the strike but later reconsidered due to criticism.

The writers’ strike came to an end on Tuesday night following negotiations between the Writers’ Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).
